Hi there

I try to do an upgrade package of VMware 7.0 to 7.0.1

The thing is when I apply the upgrade instead of upgrading at
application launch it does at the login which I don't want
I notice why another one notepad++ the upgrade tab was filled
automatically when I chose to upgrade version 5.2.4 to 5.5

Anyone know why and what im doing wrong

Thanks

Pierre-
A couple of notes. If you're using GP Software Installation to deploy the update, note that its normal operation is to install the app only during a foreground refresh event, which includes a computer restart for per-computer apps or a user logon for per-user apps. Also, the ability for a gPSI to detect an upgrade relationship automatically has to do with the way the upgrade was packaged and its MSI product code. Does the VMWare upgrade you're trying to deploy actually upgrade the previous version when you run it interactively? Or do you have to uninstall the older app first?

Darren
